Chew toys

Carson pretty much chews on anything he can get his little hands on, his toys, his bottle, burp cloths, his blankets, his shirts (he pulls them up to his mouth while he is wearing them) the straps in his car seat and high chair. Here is Carson chewing on one of the toys in his activity center.
And now that Carson can roll around he chews on the furniture. I think he likes to go to this chair because it is bright red. In the book, Goodnight Moon, he loves the bright red balloon, too.
Then he rolls to the other side of the living room and when I turn around one minute later he is going to town on the blinds. He loves to kick the blinds and see the sun come in when they move, so I sometimes let him stay there and be entertained but this is so incredibly disgusting. Although, my friend Rosie, did tell me a story about something that her son was sucking on and this doesn't even compare! I will let you use your imagination but it was pretty funny/gross! Anyways, I gave Carson a bath right after this and he had little marks all over his face from the edges of the blinds. They looked like little paper cuts everywhere. He didn't seem to know or care.
And here is Carson after he fell asleep chewing on his blanket. We tuck him in and he immediately lifts his legs and grabs the blanket from off of his feet and starts chewing/sucking. I check on him even more now than I did when he was little. This is how I find him more often than not. Don't worry, I took the blanket off of his face and tucked him back in.
After the post the other day with Carson's pajamas being a bit too small, he got some new ones! Grandma Garrett sent these ones and I think that they are so stinking cute!! I had to take his picture. He wore them all day as an outfit instead of as pajamas, though. In this picture his legs are moving so fast that they are blurry. He hasn't yet mastered smiling without using his entire body, especially those legs that never stop!
Travis took a picture of Me and the little guy last night right before bath and bedtime! When Travis came home and saw his outfit he kept calling those shorts "Carson's speedos." Whatever... I think they are cute!
Also, last night I was reading Babycenter (your baby is 24 weeks old, see what is taking way this week) and it said that babies around 3 to 9 months may start to wake up again in the night for many different reasons. It said that when babies learn new skills (i.e. rolling) they begin to do them in their sleep and may wake themselves up. Well, it was funny that I read that because last night Carson woke up every two hours playing. I never got him out of his crib but I kept checking on him to make sure his blankets weren't over his face. He was talking and laughing to himself, then lifting his feet and letting them fall, making a thud sound on the mattress (that is what woke me up every time). Each time he went back to sleep a little while later and woke up happy at about 6:30 and when I looked at him in his crib he was on his tummy (he sleeps on his back) and sideways. Every single day this little guy teaches me new things. He is just so much fun and I love him so much!

I absolutely love babycenter. Even though I have had a baby, there is so much I forget, so it helps to get my little newsletter every week, for Polly & the baby.

I also love the shorts. Tell your mom that they are a hit! That picture of the two of you is so cute, I never look that good during the day! I am jealous that you can even wear shorts to bed, it was so nice to have warm weather at the lake this last weekend!

Em, are those OshKosh jammies? So cute! Um..thanks for not mentioning what my kid was actually chewing on, *shudder*. Dominic did the whole waking up thing when he was first rolling, except he couldn't roll back to his back forever, so he'd get stuck & I'd have to go fix it. He quit waking up for a while, but recently when he learned to pull himself up, he started doing that too, but now I turn OFF the monitor & wait for him to go back to sleep, usually only takes 10-15 minutes. I think they just wake up & practice whatever new skill they have. ... Great I can't wait for walking.

Oh, also I still can't find any kind of cute blog layout from that site you gave me. :o( It seems to only list other sites to go to for one & most of those you pay for. Are you doing that?

Yay! Big THANK YOU! I finally found that site & got me a new layout. Did you always have that listed on the side? Hmmm...must just not have looked close enough. Oops.
Carson is getting so stinking cute! I love the video of him rolling around!
