Outside

Last Friday afternoon it was really nice outside. Carson and I walked to get the mail and when we came back inside I asked Travis if he wanted to go to the park or go sit outside somewhere. It was about 4:30 in the afternoon and he got all excited thinking he could fish and Carson and I would just hang out. So we got some things together and went down to a pond/park to hang out. Travis took all of his fishing stuff but there were plenty of people fishing and nobody was getting any bites. So we layed down a sheet in the shade and just sat around at the park for a few hours. It was perfect weather and the sun was starting to set. Carson slept through about the first hour of it and then when he woke up he was excited to see that we were outside. We were on a little bit of a hill so we mostly tried to hold him in our lap. But with Carson's new favorite activity,it was kind of hard to keep him in our laps, he just wanted to roll around. It was so fun just to go outside and relax and hang out. Travis said he easily could have taken a nap. It was quiet and a little breezy and we had a really nice time. Sometimes we find ourselves spending too much time inside, or watching tv or filling up our weekends with places to be and people to meet up with. It was so fun to just be able to go somewhere and relax. I can't remember the last time Travis and I did that. Usually we go to the park to go to the batting cages or to cook out or hang out with people. It's not that I don't want to hang out with other people but it was nice for it to just be our little family. **Picture-Even though it was later in the evening Carson's head is big and white just asking for a sunburn. He likes the fishing hat that Grandma Garrett gave him!
