I ordered some new running shoes for Travis for his birthday which is next week. I felt like I was being pretty sneaky even though he was pretty blunt about what he wanted. I even had my mom order the shoes so Travis wouldn't see the transaction for the Finish Line on our bank account. That was the trickiest part. I thought no big deal about when it arrives because I always get the mail and Travis is never home during the day, so Carson and I could go get the package at the office and be able to hide it before he gets home. So today Travis decides to sleep in a little extra and just be a little bit late to school. Then who comes knocking on the door right as Travis is done showering... UPS! When someone knocks on the door it always catches us off guard and the guy said "UPS". So I go to the door to answer and I realize that Travis was holding Carson and when I turned around he was not in the room anymore. Apparently, Travis was a little freaked because he thought that the guy said "DPS" and Travis was thinking oh, crap, what did I do this time. A couple of months ago he got a photo radar ticket that showed up at my parents house in Illinois (because it was in my car, which my Dad owns). And that was like a $300 ticket, which my Dad paid for Travis' birthday present but probably more so, so he didn't have to go to court, or jail, or whatever! Thanks Dad! Then Travis quickly realized that he hadn't done anything and he thought maybe they said "CPS" so he said he wanted to take Carson out the back door (which we don't have) and run! I sure hope that we haven't done anything for them to come to our door either!! Anyways, I was slightly entertained by all of his ideas this morning but sad that I had to give him his birthday shoes today. So I took a picture of his shoes and he made me take the second picture where his calves show... he said they look huge!!
