Carson went to his 15 month appointment today, a couple of weeks late. I just want to make sure I get it down before I forget. They used to give me a paper that had his stats but now they don't. And the pregnancy brain makes me forget a lot. He weighed 26 lbs. 6 oz. and is in the 80th percentile. He was 33 1/2 inches tall and that put him off the charts for height. The doctor said that he is a big boy all around, but big in a healthy way... whatever that means. He got two shots, one in each leg and then had to get screened for lead and they drew his blood for that. The poor kid was sad and tired. But he was a trooper. And when I asked her her recommendations on pacifier usage, she said no longer than 6 months. oops! I was thinking of waiting until after the baby comes. But she said to try it before the baby comes. I couldn't bare to do it, so I gave him 2 pacifiers for his nap. But when his dad came home he layed down the law. So we put him to bed tonight without them. He didn't cry at all, but he stayed up for almost 2 hours talking in his room, in the dark. Maybe to Cubby Bear, I am not sure. So we will see how it goes tonight and the next few days. And we will see how it goes when he sees his cousin's, Jaxon's, pacifier. He always tries to get those and now he will probably want it more. Carson is cute and I love him. Oh and he got two new molars that I hadn't seen until he was crying from his shots. That puts him at 12 teeth!

I love how much you and Travis love Carson. You are both so sweet and so patient.
I can't remember what show I was watching....maybe super nanny but she told the kids that it was time to get rid of the pacifiers because they were big kids now and they put all the pacifiers in a basket and had the child help hang it outside for the pacifier fairy to come and give them to babies who really needed them. It looked like it worked on tv--but you never know.
WOw, you have been blogging a lot lately, I had to catch up a little - I am getting behind myself!
Carson is so big! I can't believe we have never seen him, it just seems like I know your cute little family so well when I haven't met Travis or Carson!
I think we got rid of Polly's pacifier at about 15 or 16 months. At first, we started only letting her have it at church & during naptime/bedtime. Then we just left them in her crib & one night we let her fall asleep with them but then took them out in the middle of the night & after that she never missed them! Good luck - I think it is harder for some kids than others & I have friends with kids 2 1/2 years old that just barely got rid of them.
You guys seem ready for the new baby! Not even 2 weeks, wow - I can't believe it!
Thank goodness for good husbands that "encourage" their wives to not watch bad movies (we still watch the TBS versions, too). I definitely saw my fair share & now I can't watch scary movies no matter what they are rated - sometimes the News even keeps me up at night!
That's crazy he is off the charts for height! I bet he will be a little athletic boy just like his momma.
We already talked about this, but I soooo don't agree with your doc about the binki's. And I think Carson is officially as tall as Logan now, and I'm sure he will pass him up soon, at the rate he's going. He's only 1 or 2 pounds lighter too!!! Crazy!
