To Porter:
You are one month old today! You have grown so much already. It feels like just yesterday we brought you home, yet it feels like you have been in our family forever. You are the cutest and sweetest little boy. Your favorite place to be is in Mom or Dad's arms. If you are being held then you are happy. You love to be swaddled and cozy. We love to watch your face when you are sleeping and see the little faces that you make. You eat about every 3 1/2 hours and are awake a little bit more every day. Most of the time you just like to sleep, though. You have a lot less hair than you did when you were born and we think you look so much like Carson did at your age. You like tummy time but you don't like bath time. You can only wear onesies right now because you are so skinny and long. During the day when you are taking your naps, I put you down in your bed awake and you have been falling asleep on your own. At night we hold you until you fall asleep and then put you in bed and you have been doing so well. But sometimes in the night you get up and only eat for about 2 minutes. So I think you just want to hang out and have us hold you. 
You have been feisty since the day we saw the first ultrasound. When the doctor pulled up the first picture of you, you were looking straight at "the camera" and had both fists up like a boxer. Then you decided you wanted to come out with your face first, instead of the top of your head, and so Mom had to have a C-Section. And now when you do cry (which isn't really that often) you don't really have a soft level, it just goes straight to screaming. I think it is kind of cute.
You have your own little personality and I love you so much. I can't wait to see you grow and learn. I think you are going to have fun with Carson. Porter, right now as I am typing this, you are in my arms asleep and I don't want to put you down. You are so sweet. We all love you so much!

Emily, You have a beautiful family! You look like such a happy, wonderful mommy, too! :) Sounds like all is going well for you all, the four Grovers! Isn't it wonderful? Enjoy all the moments!
