Porter -- 4 Months

He is 4 Months Old!

The day that Porter turned 4 months old this is what he did--He woke up at 8:30 and smiled and laughed for about 15 minutes before eating. Then he hung out in Mom's arms and kicking on the floor until nap time at 9:30. He is getting so close to rolling over back to front. And his neck is getting strong. He got woken up by his brother at 10:45, who was supposed to be taking a nap also. Since he was awake early from his nap he decided to play around on his tummy and in his exersaucer.
Then he ate at 11:45. Mom and Carson and Porter all went to Carson's swim lessons after that. Porter got pretty hot but liked it when he got wiped with the blanket that had been dipped in the pool. Right after swim lessons we went to the pool and met Trisha and her family. Everyone played and had a good time. Porter got water dumped and splashed on him and never complained. He had such a good time. He ate again while at the pool. He has eczema and it got pretty bad today, I am thinking that it was from the heat. It is all over his arms, legs, head and face. Poor little guy. After we left the pool, he slept in the car the whole way home. We got home, he took a bath and we put his prescription and Aquaphor all over him, to try to help his skin. At about 6:15 he ate and went to bed with Carson at 7. He was so happy all day long. We were in and out of the car and at unfamiliar places a lot today and Porter was just so happy the entire time. He is the best baby ever.

Some other things about Porter right now--He loves to smile and to be around people. He loves to be the center of attention, he sometimes will start squawking and then all you have to do is look at him and he will smile (like in the pictures above) and be so happy. He really likes tummy time and probably spends most of the time that he is awake on his tummy. He likes to watch the tv and always turns his head towards it, no matter what is on. He is wearing some clothes that are 6-9 and 6-12 months, mostly because he is so long and shirts don't fit him. On the average day, he is only awake for about 4 hours--that includes eating time. He looooves to sleep and goes to bed on his own, and hasn't really cried at nap/bedtime for a couple of months now. He does like to be noisy and cry during Relief Society. So that is my one chance each week to rock him to sleep!! But he really hardly ever cries about anything. He does get a pouty lip, though, just like his dad and his brother. Because of this pouty lip and his pure cuteness, he is already wrapped around our fingers. He hates his infant car seat but will hang out in the stroller anytime. He laughs much harder for his dad than anyone else. He likes the words "good morning" apparently. Or else he is just so happy in the morning that anything you say to him makes his whole body smile.
