My sister just had a little girl, after having 5 boys. I made her a couple of things and my sister-in-law (Travis' sister), Trisha, made her some too. I actually had a lot of fun because it is way different than making stuff for boys. First of all, it is different colors and you can just add little things that make it girly. I feel like with boys, the more you add, the more girly it gets... no matter the colors. Does that make sense?

This was my first attempt at baby booties. The night that I did these, I couldn't stop staring at them. They were so incredibly little and cute. There are things I can do better next time, but I think it was a pretty successful shot. By the way, I got this pattern from Ashley at Make It and Love It. She is talented and made this pattern and makes it really easy for someone like me (who doesn't know how to sew) to complete. And I probably got all of my other ideas from her website too, because I like it. Okay.
Diapers and wipes cases. One for Max and one for Lucy!
And you can never have enough pairs of baby legs, especially for a Utah winter.

A hooded towel. Genlty worn. (Sorry, Rachel. At least I didn't give them a bath first, I just needed a picture of it on.) This should have been easy but the towel was so thick, and I don't know what I am doing with a sewing machine, so It was hard to get all the layers through. Again... I have ideas for next time on how to do this much better.

A couple of tutu's. Gently worn. The hot pink one is longer and the light pink one is shorter. And now that I see that they fit Porter I have a feeling they may be quite large for a newborn 6 lb. baby. I put them on ribbon so the size can be adjusted and tulle can be taken off.

Trisha, who is super talented at all things girly, made all of the hair bows, the beaded pacifier clips, the bracelets and the ric rac headbands (which happen to be my favorite--I saw them on a little girl at church and just loved them)!

Hi Emily- this is Shannon, one of Rachel's friends in Utah. I just have to tell you how unbelievably cute all this stuff is that you and your sis-in-law made for Lucy! I'm so impressed with everything you tried and successfully completed even though you have boys!! Anyways, Rachel talks about you a ton and how crafty you are! What a fun sister to have.
