Porter's 1st Birthday

We all had a wonderful time on Porter's birthday, just hanging out as a family and trying to let the kids have fun all day. I think Porter had a good day. He was up almost the whole night before, crying. It looks like he is getting a molar. But now he has bronchitis again so that could have been why?? We started off his birthday celebrations on Saturday with a free pizza from Grimaldi's. Porter didn't even eat any. But we sure enjoyed it!



Then first thing, Wednesday morning (his birthday) we went to Krispy Kreme to get a dozen donuts. He wouldn't even take a bite. Carson, thoroughly enjoyed his donut. Carson liked the hats too.



We came home, let the kids play outside and Porter took a little nap. Then we went to eat at Liberty Market. Again, Porter didn't eat anything here but we sure enjoyed his free chicken sandwich! And Carson just ran around in the courtyard the whole time.
I only put this picture up because of the next one.

This one is at Joe's Farm Grill. Why do we take pictures of each other while we are taking a drink? That is so weird.

Porter ate some french fries here, well, probably 1 total. He had fun anyway.

Porter isn't walking yet, but wants us to walk him around all day. So when we got home from our lunches, we let him take the hippo outside. I love his expression in the picture. He thinks Carson is coming to play. But really Carson just wants him out of the way, so he can push the hippo.

Then we went over to Travis' parents backyard to sing to Porter and let him have his cake. We thought a hose might be a bit easier than cleaning it up from inside our apartment. I was right.

You can't tell, but Carson had just accidentally let a balloon go. Porter got a huge red balloon and Carson claimed it as his own. We were in the backyard for about 2 seconds when Carson let go and was so upset. He just started crying and saying "ba-yoon."

So happy to be standing up and to be outside, even if someone is helping. He wore his "1" shirt that I made him all day!

I love his smile in this picture. Troy was making him get even more excited about demolishing that thing.

He wanted Carson to participate. So Carson set his cupcake down and then Porter tried to go for that, because obviously the cake wasn't enough.

I thought this was cute. Carson put the candle back in the cake to say "Happy Derpay (Birthday), Porter!"

I just wanted to add a picture of Carson on his first birthday. They look alike but he did not want to be a part of making a mess with his food. And he didn't want to taste it either. I pretty much made the mess that is on him in this picture, to try to get him to taste it. It didn't even take Porter 2 seconds to go at his cake.

I can't believe Porter is 1 already. He is the happiest, smiliest, most easy going boy ever. He knows what he wants and gets loud when he doesn't get it. But he doesn't really cry much. He still has 8 teeth and doesn't really eat any food. He hates all purees/baby food and has a really hard time eating anything bigger than half of a pea. And he still LOVES bottles. We are trying to wean him off of that thing, but I think it is going to take some time. He still crawls everywhere, but loves to have us help him walk. He spends all day practicing standing up in with no help and instead of trying to walk from there, he casually sits down and takes off crawling. He loves noisy toys and always crawls around with at least one toy in his hand. I think his favorite thing to do is pick up a toy and drop it on/in something that will make noise. Then he picks it up again, looks at it and drops it slowly. You can just see his little brain working. It is so cute. He goes around saying "dadadada" all day long. He loves to fake laugh. When you laugh, he laughs back and usually bats his eyes with it. He loves bathtime, but hates getting his head and face washed or wiped. He has a smile just like his Daddy's. And he is just the cutest little boy. We are so happy he has joined our family. He really has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. We love you, PoPo!!
