Hudson -- 3 Weeks

Hudson is 3 weeks old today!  Really? It was 3 whole weeks ago when I was in the hospital having him?  It's going too fast.

Well, anyway, he is as happy and sweet as ever.  Sunday night we went to the Temple to let the kids roam around outside and I took some pictures of the little guy.  I think he had fun.  The other boys had a blast hanging out with their daddy and running up and down the ramps. 

This picture really cracks me up and I am not sure why. 

Hudson loves to be swaddled and cuddled.  If he isn't wrapped tight enough, he will wiggle and grunt until he gets his arms free.  Then he will get mad that they are out.  Here, he got his arms free.

And here, he has them free enough to be happy.

But here he is too tired to try.

I love the Aden and Anais blankets that we got for him.  They are 100% cotton, light muslin, and are nice and big, light and very soft.  They allow the baby to regulate their own body temperature so they won't overheat like with other blankets.  It's perfect for an Arizona summer!

All 3 boys had this exact same hair and big cowlick.  So I have pictures of all of them like this.  I love it!  Man, can you imagine having your head as big as your shoulders?

Hudson is a really good/fast eater.  You can tell because he is getting chubby.  He has pretty much put himself on his own schedule of eating about every 3 to 4 hours, around the clock.  He wakes up twice at night and I can only get him to eat for about 5 minutes before he completely sacks out again.  I always think he didn't eat enough and he will wake up in 20 minutes and be hungry, but he doesn't.  He still goes the 3/4 hours.  So I have decided he is just faster than the other boys were.  Fine with me!

We have been going on walks for the last couple of nights as a family.  Carson and Porter ride together in the double jogger and Hudson rides in the single stroller.  The kids love it.  Hudson usually sleeps the entire time, but last night he had his eyes open and was looking around for half of the walk. 

He does NOT like bath time.  He still gets a sponge bath because his little belly button/cord area isn't healed completely.  Maybe he will like it better when he can be in the water and not under the ceiling fan?!
