Porter is 1 month away from going to nursery at church. That doesn't seem right. He is still my little baby, even though he is very independent and smart and trying to talk all the time.
He is the sweetest little boy and gives hugs and kisses all day long. He loves to give Hudson kisses which usually means slobbering all over his face. His kisses are him leaning his head forward with his lips closed (if your lucky).
He is trying to talk and repeat all of the things we say. He understands all the things we ask him and tell him. Some of the words he says: chicken, pizza, muffin (that is my favorite--I need to get it on video), book, ball, outside, shoes, bath, quack quack (sometimes he says duck), goldfish, apple, water, milk, french fries, yogurt, baby, taquito, quesadilla, car.
Porter puts anything and everything in his mouth. All toys, dirt, rocks, food that he has thrown on the floor, trash, his crib, his fingers--it doesn't matter, he wants to be chewing/sucking on it. The doctor said he has all teeth but his 2 year molars. So if he isn't teething is this problem here to stay? Great!
Porter is a monkey. He has different bruises on his forehead all the time. All day long he runs and kind of jumps up onto the couch and then climbs all over it and falls on the pillows. He just laughs and giggles and is so happy while doing this.
One of Porter's favorite things to do right now is read books. He sits down and just looks at pages and pages. Then he walks over and points up to the books for me to get one and read it. I keep them up high because they have torn most of them up, because once they are done reading they start tearing pages out. Ugh! Some favorite books right now are Oh, The Thinks You Can Think, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You, Freight Train, K is for Kissing a Cool Kangaroo, and Words.
Popo can do big arms (like swimming freestyle) and big kicks (again like in the pool-but he does it inside), even though he has not ever taken swim lessons or really even been swimming. We usually just hold him in our arms in the pool. He learned them by copying the things that Carson does. He watches Carson's every move. He copies everything he does and says--good and bad. The word adore doesn't even explain how much he loves his brother.
Porter was excited to see Baby Hudson in the hospital. As soon as he walked in we asked him where the baby was and he walked right up to the bassinet. I have no clue how he knew that is where he was, but he did. Then he decided to climb and jump on the couch.
Porter eating a "muh mmm." That is kind of how he says muffin. Carson just stares at the camera, Porter is ALWAYS smiling!
Porter eating again. This time chicken and french fries. One of his favorites!
He loves goldfish. And he likes anything where he is treated like a big boy. He likes to have his own cup of goldfish for a snack. And his shirt is covered in drool. Surprise, surprise!
He is just so stinkin' happy all the time.
He stands so his gut sticks straight out. And those pajamas might be a tad small.
Porter is really the happiest little boy ever. He can get quite the attitude when he doesn't get what he wants. But he just loves attention and hugs and smiles. He forgives and forgets so quickly. I am so thankful for the way that Porter is able to make us all smile. You can't be in a bad mood for long with him around--so loveable! We love you so much, Porter!

What a sweetheart! Love the pictures! The bruises on his head all of the time remind me of my middle son too. Can't believe he is that old!
That's for sure! Popo is so happy and smiley and so loving. He does understand basically everything you say to him. He loves to throw things away and put things away, although he will probably just get them out again, right away. It was so great to be around him and Carson, and Hudson for a while. I miss them all.
i forgot that lars and porter were so close together! hurrah for nursery!!
