Porter 18 Months

Porter turned 18 months old last week (9-3-10). Which means today was his first day in Nursery.  And it was also Travis' first day BACK in nursery.  It was our first Sunday in a new ward and Carson and Porter are in different nurseries.  Travis said that he cried every time they would start singing.  Haha, that kid totally cracks me up.  He was a monster during Sacrament Meeting and that wasn't so funny.

Porter LOVES trains and trucks and cars.  He kept stealing Big Truck from Carson.  So we borrowed Black Truck from Trisha.  It makes him so happy.  The first night we brought it home, he knew it was for him. As we were walking up the stairs going inside, he kept turning around and smiling at it.

When I ask him to say cheese, he does, but he gets about 6 inches away first.

Porter wants to do everything on his own.  But when he wants help he says "help you."  That is also what Carson says, which shows how much he pays attention to his big brother.

He is incredibly messy and clutsy.  So I give him a spoon and he thinks he is doing it all on his own.  Then he opens his mouth for me to actually get some food in there.

Porter, Travis and Carson after church running around.

He saw an airplane up in the sky.

He is so handsome, I love this look!

And his eyes are so blue.

Porter doesn't usually smile when he gets thrown in the air.

Porter is so cute and sweet.  He gives us hugs and kisses all day long.  He tells me 'thank you' all the time and makes the cutest, shy/flirty face when he does it.  He pretends to be shy when people talk to him.
He is a handful too.  He gets into everything, makes big messes and puts everything in his mouth.  When I ask him what is in his mouth, he usually runs away.  Anytime we are outside he starts running (always the opposite way of where we are going).
He loves Carson and Hudson so much and follows both of them around (well, likes to be by Hudson, since he can't follow him).  He says a lot of words and repeats the last word of whatever we say.  He gets very mad if you put him in his chair before you actually have his food ready.  He just sits there and screams at you.  Porter has become quite the eater.  It's not that he eats the best things, but he eats a lot!   And any time we are eating anything, he comes up and says "a bite", even if he knows he doesn't like it.
Porter loves to take Hudson's pacifier away, which is really annoying.  Hudson will be sleeping and Porter rips it out of his mouth and runs and throws it.  But he is laughing the whole time.  He doesn't let things bother him.  Even when he is screaming he is happy.  Seriously, he's the happiest kid I know.
He still loves to read books, but if they get left out he usually tears them up.  He likes to make the sound that a dog makes.  When I ask him any animal's sound, he says "ruff".  And the cow sound scares him and makes him so sad.
His new favorite word is "no".  He answers that to EVERYTHING.  He is talking so much but we can't really tell what he is talking about all the time.
Porter really likes to watch cartoons in the morning.  He especially likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Super Why!  He likes to yell 'Hooray', like the Super Readers do.
I am so grateful to have a happy, healthy little boy.  He adds so much life to our family and cracks us up often!
We love you so much, Porter!
