Tonight, Hudson rolled from his back to his belly. I didn't even know he had been trying. I layed him down right after his bath and put his diaper on him. I walked away to go put more time on the dryer. Came back, and he was on his belly. He still had one arm underneath and was pretty mad about it. He got it out on his own. I cheered him on and he gave me a huge, full-body smile! I. Love. Him. Period.
Last week I took him to the park to get a couple of pictures. He would not crack a smile for me. All I have to do at home is walk by and he smiles and coos. Out at the park where it is bright and there are other things to look at? Nothing. I even sang him songs and made crazy noises and said "good morning, Hudson!" That always works, but still nothing. Travis even tried tickling him, which is why his body is all red.
I layed him down in the grass expecting him to get pretty angry at me. Nope. It didn't bother him at all. Except for when one blade was tickling his cheek and so he kept trying to eat.
This last picture is a little wierd, but it was the only one where he had a little bit of a smile.
Hudson will be 4 months old in about a week and a half. Time is moving too quickly!

Are you kidding me? The kiddo is gorgeous even without a smile! I absolutely love the first one! And the last one isn't weird, it's adorable...you do such a good job taking pictures, Em! And you're such a good Mommy too!

And, my friend, Daina has a son, Logan who was born 4 days after Hudson and he just rolled over for the first time today! WEIRD!!! ;)
He reminds me of Eli in the first 2 photocs.
He's sooooooooo cute! I love how when you want to take pictures, they won't smile. Typical. Is he really almost 4 months? That means Sadie is almost 5 months! So sad.
