Ward Campout 2011
The morning after we froze! I forgot to even pack long sleeves for Travis. Luckily Payson has a WalMart. This was the only sweatshirt they had in XL. I told him I liked the purple. He was like, maybe it isn't a men's XL??
I got home tonight and started making my 'To Do' list for tomorrow and it just kept getting bigger. And all of the things on their are hard things to get done with the kids--appointments and phone calls and faxing things, taking Hudson's 10 month pictures, which was last Friday.
I usually take about a few hundred pictures of my kids each month, in April I had so few and now May is even worse. I haven't been getting out my camera lately, and I don't know why. The boys are just growing up so much.
Carson has changed so much in the last month or so. Today we were sitting down eating milk and cookies and I asked him if he wanted to take a nap today. He said no. I told him that I would set the timer for 5 minutes and when the timer went off it was time for bed. I told him he could go play. He said, no I will sit here with you. So we sat and talked. The timer went off and he jumped up from his chair. I asked him what that meant and he yelled, it's time for a nap, as he was running up the stairs. And then he layed down for 3 hours. Saturday night we got Carson some new shoes. So Sunday morning we showed them to him. After he said he liked them, Travis said what do you tell Mommy (like to get him to say thank you, Mommy) and he said, Happy Modder's Day, Mommy! Makes my heart melt. Such a genuinely good kid that wants to make you happy.
Porter has grown so tall and skinny. He is still talking so much more and just loves to say/do the things Carson does. He chowed a salad today for lunch and played with his chicken nuggets and french fries ( a staple for him) like they were cars. He is so, so sweet. He loves to hide his face behind his hands and be shy too. Words just can't express how cute I think he is. For Mother's Day, Travis and the boys got me a Willow Tree figurine with a mother and father holding a little baby. I pointed to the mom and said, Porter who is this? He answered, Jesus. That was also his answer today, when we pointed to a little Statue of Liberty replica. Love him.
Hudson is 10 months old now. Tonight, I fed him baby food and then a couple hours later Travis said he ate 2 more containers. And then he drank 10 ounces of formula before bed. He layed right down in his bed and cuddled with Harry, his bear. He is so busy and such a wiggler, but when you try to get him to hold still he laughs. And when he laughs his teeth are so cute. I forget they are in there until he smiles at me. He is the first one up almost every morning. He is like the birds--as soon as the sun comes up, he is talking in his bed, so happy.
I feel so busy sometimes. But I just went in and gave each of my kids kisses on their peaceful little cheeks. I love going in their rooms after they have fallen asleep. I just sit for a minute and look at their cute little faces. I love them so much. They make life not so overwhelming. I had a wonderful mother's day. We had to come home from church super early because Carson and Porter were pretty awful and we couldn't make it through Sacrament Meeting with just our 4 hands to their 6. But Travis made me feel very special. And he was the one that had a crazy weekend while I went out Friday night, all day Saturday and then again last night and tonight. He has been playing with the kids, bathing, feeding and getting them in bed. No complaints, just an awesome dad and husband. I love my family so much. I love this time in my life. I cherish these days with these little boys. Carson, Porter and Hudson--please, please, please, don't grow up too quickly. I love you so much!

They do seem to grow up too quickly. So did you guys. There were times when I wanted one of you to grow out of a certain phase that was perhaps a little too annoying, but overall, as a mom, I sure hated to see you guys grow up so fast. Now I can't believe how fast the grandkids are growing!
How sweet! I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day weekend. Happy Belated Mother's Day! Your boys are so too cute for words! I love reading about them.
That family pic is adorable! Glad you survived the campout:). My favorite part of the day is going into the kids rooms when they are sleeping too. Such a sweet post. If you figure out how to keep them from growing let me know!
I Love it when the kids say something like Carson's happy mudders day and completely remind us why we love them so much!
