Hudson is learning so many things each day. I can't keep up with the things he is saying. I want to write it all down so I don't forget.
- Last week, the day before Thanksgiving, he started adding "Mom" and "Dad" to his questions/demands. His favorite thing to say right now is "I need that (fill in the blank), Mom." He says it non-stop all day long until he gets whatever it is. It is cute, but holy cow he is impatient and demanding and possessive.
- Yesterday I opened the pantry door and Hudson saw a bag in there. It was filled with candy corn from Halloween (which has been put away for weeks now) and he said, "candy corn, Mom." Then continued on with needing it the rest of the day, even after a nap. I actually videotaped his tantrum that he threw when I wouldn't give him one. He climbed onto the kitchen table to throw a fit. Where does he learn these things! Apparently, according to my mom, I knew the words for candy pretty early on too. Gee, no surprise there.
- Tonight we drove around the neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights. We started out saying "Do you see any lights?" so the kids would tell us what they saw. Hudson quickly caught on and said "I see 'em, Mom" for most of the hour and only when we actually passed lights.
- Hudson knows a lot of animal sounds. And he can answer the question without you saying the sound. (Of course I couldn't get him to do any while Grandma and Grandpa were here. And if I turn on a video camera and he sees it, he stops what he is doing to say cheese. He is a ham and a talker, we aren't sure where he got these genes.) He knows cow, duck, horse, dog, sheep, snake, bumblebee and train (I know a train isn't an animal, he's a boy so it may as well be).
- Words that he uses appropriately are Mom/Mommy, Dad/Daddy/June, Leo, Bobi, most animals, cereal, banana, cup, ball, car, truck, choo-choo, water, cracker, yogurt, bye-bye, book, dinosaur(saur), head, whoa, outside, monkey, Super Why (just Why), pizza place, slide (wide), park, sock, shoe, shirt, Harry, Wrigley (his and Porter's stuffed bears.)
- If you listen carefully, he knows the words (I don't know what you would call it where he can't really say the words, but keeps the syllables and sounds kind of right) to a couple of songs--If You're Happy, Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star, Teach Me To Walk In The Light, and the chorus to Away In A Manger.
- When he is done eating, he says "go play" almost immediately.
- Starting today, every time Mickey Mouse comes on the tv screen he starts giggling. But it is almost a fake giggle and then he looks at me for a reaction.
- Anytime you ask him a question he responds with a "no" or "uh uh." He also will only accept the word "NO" from his dad. When I say it, he laughs at me.
- He is very good at folding his arms for prayer and does it with or without being asked.
He pays such close attention to the other boys and does so many things that they do. He is funny and spunky and is so darn cute. I love him. I took have taken him to nursery a couple of times, just for a couple of minutes while I do something in Primary and both times when it's time to go, he freaks out and arches his back to get out of my arms. He just wants to play all the time. Poor kid, I just don't let him play enough, I guess.

Everything about him is so cute. Well, maybe not his tantrums. And his cheeks. I managed to kiss his cheeks and neck a few times while we were there. Begore he could wiggle away from me. Miss you all so much. And Rach's crew too.
