I really need to blog more often than once a month. These kids are growing up way too fast.
A few Saturdays back we grabbed a pizza for lunch and went to Freestone Park. The kids call it the train park.
The kids are learning how to push each other on the swings
Porter is still learning where is too close.
Porter showing us his "happy face."
The boys eating pizza.
Carson and Porter wanted to bring their "noculars" to watch the ducks.
After feeding the ducks we told them to practice running down the hill. That kept them all entertained and contained for a good 20 minutes.
We made Carson take off his binoculars, that didn't seem safe to me.
Hudson got going pretty fast and loved it. Then he would fall on purpose and laugh.
We sang happy birthday to Grandma Margie which has become a birthday tradition. We never see her on her birthday, so we celebrate by singing, blowing out candles and eating the goodies. This year it was Twinkies. And the singing part was harder than we had expected it to be.
Hudson finally got over it and ate his Twinkie.
Porter and Hudson and I found a new park around Carson's new preschool. The boys love it. It has 3 steering wheels close to each other so they don't need to take turns driving the car.
The weather is great so we have been going outside a lot. We have been going to parks more than anything but the kids love to ride bikes out front too. I think this day that I took these pictures Hudson was still napping. Which would be why I was able to take my camera outside too. I love how the boys keep their helmets on the whole time they are outside, whether or not they are riding the bikes.
The other night Hudson wanted to share a bed with Porter. We laid him down and tucked them in. They were quiet and didn't move. We let them lay like that for a little while and then put Hudson on his bed. He cried. I used my external flash that I hardly use and don't know how to, so it looks like day time, but it was pitch dark in their room. That is why Porter is shielding his eyes.
Today I told Porter he could have a popsicle if he ate all of his lunch. He loves these things. Thanks to some tips from some friends, we got some paletas (Spanish word for popsicle) from the Ranch Market. They are strawberries and cream. Anyway, it melted before he could finish it and fell onto the floor. He was beyond upset about it. And probably cold.
Other than that, things are truckin' along around here. Travis is still working in Gila Bend Monday through Friday and is gone from about 5:30am to 6 or 6:30pm. He likes his job but we don't see him a lot during the week. We have been getting babysitters practically every weekend to go out on much needed kid-free dates.
Carson goes to 2 different preschools now, every day of the week and has many hours of habilitation and therapy on top of that. He is a very busy kid.
Porter started a music class "Let's Get Ready" and he LOVES it. When he hears the cd play in the car, he always asks "Mom, do you hear my music class?" Carson is in preschool and I have a friend watch Hudson so it is just Mommy and Porter time. It is nice--and Hudson gets a chance to be somewhere else, without me or brothers, which I think is good for him. Porter pretty much quit taking naps, but he goes in his room for quiet time for at least 2 hours every day. Today he fell asleep playing in there. That probably happens once a month.
Hudson always wants to be playing but still happily lays down for naps as long as he has a pacifier and Harry (his stuffed bear). He takes 2 naps a day when we are home, which is rare, or takes one big nap in the afternoon. Lately, he has had a tendency to get carsick and it is rough.
I feel busy with everyday life. Remembering Carson's schedule and doing laundry pretty much fill up my day, everyday. I have also been pretty good about making a menu and dinner almost every day (during the week) for the last 4 weeks. There were a couple girls nights out and homemade pizza days in there. Plus, Taco Tuesdays at Filibertos has officially become part of our menu. So that doesn't sound like great homemade dinner plans, but I have been pretty impressed with myself anyway.

I love all the pictures and your commentary. Thanks for posting them.
Good job on the dinner menu. My dinners are always lame and I never know what to fix.
