Travis' Birthday

Travis' birthday was a couple of weeks ago.  He turned 32.  Muahaha.  He is so old.  He had the day off of work because he had a doctor's appointment (to check-up on his septoplasty that he had done about a month back).  His birthday was on a Tuesday, so we went out for free Grimaldi's on Monday night.  We got   babysitters so it was just us, which was nice.  Then we just hung out.  Carson had school and did not want to go because Daddy was home.  For the first time ever, Carson got a note home from school that said he was sad.  And the teacher wrote, "Daddy is home."  So when he got home from school he was still holding a grudge.  He got off the bus and ran straight inside and said "I told you I did NOT want to go to school today.  When Daddy is home, I do NOT go to school."
Anyway, Carson went to the store with me to get Travis some balloons and he helped me make his cake. Carson said that we needed to make it purple because that is Daddy's favorite color.  So purple it was.

  The boys convinced me to make Travis' birthday balloons into water balloons.  And Travis took a nap.

Then we each decorated one little cake for Daddy.  I frosted them with the color that the boys wanted and then they put the goodies on top.  We did Travis' for him.

Left to right:  Travis, Hudson, Emily, Carson, Porter.  I love how Carson wanted green and pink because according to him, "pink is going to be his favorite color soon."  I also love how Porter made his into a racecar, with oreos as the wheels and a rolo as the steering wheel.  We used these little mini loaves  for Porter's bday too, so he wanted to do the same thing. 

We sang happy birthday.

Then we ate the cake.

And Hudson is showing where all the cake went -- in his belly.

I hope Travis had a happy birthday.  We had a fun day.
