Rough Weekend

Poor Hudson.  He started wearing big boy underwear this weekend (and has done freakishly well and has stayed dry every night!) and then Sunday evening he broke his collarbone.  That sure is a lot of change for a little guy.  He keeps telling me "Carson hurt my shoulder" and is sad about it.  He also told me this morning "Mom, I need a drink of water to make my shoulder go away."   It apparently takes 6-8 weeks to heal.  Holy cow, that feels like forever.

Hudson at Urgent Care.  Overall pretty sad, but he couldn't keep away the smiles the whole time.

Getting used to his sling and just trying to still play... with no clothes of course.

It is a whole different experience when your child can tell you what happened, and what hurts.  I didn't even know that he knew the word shoulder, or what it was.  He really is an amazing little boy.  I adore him so much, I hope the bone heals properly and quickly.

How sad! Joe broke is collar bone when he was around 12, I think. He said it was very, very painful. Hope Hudson feels better!

Poor Hudson! I hope he heals quickly. It always amazes me how they usually can still find ways to play. Remember when Mitch broke his leg? He dragged himself all over the place and so fast, too.

I think both my brothers broke their collar bones when kids. How did it happen?

Poor Hudson! He looks so cute in his sling and underwear. Good job on the potty training! That is a long time for a little boy to wear a sling!

That is so sad. Poor kid. What is up with everyone starting to potty train already! You're making me feel like a slacker mom. . . just kidding. Congrats!
