Emma at 1 month. Christmas day. She was still very much a newborn. Sleeping all the time, being awake for long hours at night, putting on the pounds, and wanting to be held all the time.
December 27, 2013 she weighed 9.69 lbs (60th percentile) and was 23 inches long (99th percentile). That was up 28% in weight and 28% in length since her visit when she was 4 days old.
Emma took a lot of naps with Daddy. This was her favorite position/spot for a while.
I love some of the little dresses she has. The clothes are so cute, it makes me sad that they only fit through a few wears. I do like that once her dresses get a little short, I just add some leggings under there!
Emma is very particular. So she only likes being held by the boys for about 10 seconds before she starts screaming. And when I say screaming or screeching, I mean it! She is loud and high pitched!
More of her favorite spot. She looks exactly like Travis in these pictures.
This was the day that Emma started smiling consistently, most of the time when you talked to her. She was smiling here because Hudson was talking to her. January 14, 2014, 7 weeks and 1 day.
I like the difference between these next 2 pics.
She is so sleepy. I lay her down on the floor so she will wake up... it doesn't usually work.
This is the face that she makes when she is waking up.
"Waiting for Santa" jammies. We got these with Carson and I just couldn't give them away. Even though she looks like a boy, she wears them. And I take pictures.
Cute yawning profile.
And here she is at 2 months. Wow. It goes so fast. She is getting so chubby. At her 2 month visit on January 27, 2014 she was 12.06 lbs (71st percentile). And 24 inches long (97th percentile).
This first picture is pretty awesome!
Emma at 2 months. She still loves to be held and will only take naps in her swing or carseat (if we are out and about). She has a really hard time in her bed during the day and when she does fall asleep it is only for a few minutes. She gets upset or scared easily and then it is hard to calm her down. She does NOT like it when Daddy kisses her neck... cries every single time!
Her favorite position to be held moved from up on your should (burping position) to cradled in our arms. If you pick her up and cradle her, and it is time for her nap, she is asleep seconds later. Such a snuggler!
She still has to be woken up to eat most of the time and will easily go 4 or 5 hours during the day. At night she is mostly waking up once but has bad nights every 3rd or 4th day. She has gone longer stretches and gets a lot of 6 hour cycles in there.
Emma doesn't love the bath. But she loves the swing and we always find her talking to the mobile at the top. She has also started liking the toys that are in her bouncy seat. She can only do tummy time for a few minutes at a time and I feel like most of the time she is only awake for about 15-20 minutes after eating. In the mornings she likes to wake up and lay on Mommy's bed and smile before she eats and gets dressed. Travis doesn't see half as many smiles as I do because she is a lot smilier in the mornings!
We all love her. And I miss her when I am away from her. Luckily that doesn't happen too often. Daddy takes the boys places and we get a lot of Mommy/Emma time.
