Trip to Charleston

We had such a lovely time at my parent's house at the beginning of July.  I think this was the most relaxing trip to date, even though Emma didn't want to sleep anywhere but our bed.  3 of us in a full size bed, no bueno. We saw fireworks 3 times, went swimming, went to a parade and got a ton of candy, met up with good friends, hung out with lots of family, ate a ton of great food, had a birthday party for Hudson and sat outside and enjoyed the weather for a week!  We got a glimpse of what it would be like to have a yard. And a huge one, without a fence.  That second part isn't too awesome with Porter.  He was brought home from the golf course across the street, by some random people on a golf cart.  Geesh.
These boys miss their cousins.  Emma does too, I know it.  She let everyone hold her and never cried about it.  She was really only fussy when she was really hungry or tired.  And she didn't have much of a schedule at all, so she was definitely a trooper. Until nighttime, of course!

Porter's hair is so long that he has knots in it all the time. That makes him sad. He needs a haircut.

The boys played a lot of bags, 2 feet apart. Whatever entertains them!

Emma was always being held.

I can't count how many times the kids were using this like a regular swing and falling out.

Humidity = awesome bedhead.

Everyone always gets a ride on the tractor.

Carson was it himself.

Hudson only goes with Daddy.

When I saw this picture, I totally started cracking up.  Even though Carson is too big for this little green tractor he plays with it every time we go home. The whole time!

Pretty cousins!

A lot of trampoline time.

The birthday boy got 5 bags of donuts for his birthday.  We all helped him eat them.

Catching fireflies.

After church, our first family picture since Emma was born. How sad is that?  And it is so great! Riiigggghhhht!

I made Hudson pose after church for his "I'm 4" picture.  He is a handsome little guy.  (using other people's cameras is hard).

We took the boys to the park a few times.

I am sorry, did I say "boys?" I meant Ninja Turtles.

Carson's imagination never seems to stop.  He made a house with some random stuff from the garage.  And he even made his first house sale.  Travis was the sucker who bought it! This was before the decorations were put up!

Emma and Baby H, 2 months apart. My friend, Ashley's little boy.  Cute kids, is all I got to say.

Swimming time.

Hudson is playing defense.

Porter is having deep conversations about his drawings.

I requested he cat shirt and a picture with Emma, just like when he was visiting AZ and held her in the hospital.

Mitch and Emma were buddies.  He would talk to her, she would smile.  He always wanted to know were she was.  It was so sweet.

Lots of cousin pictures. Emma and Wyatt.

And uncles. Aaron.

And aunts. Torie.  Emma was giving Torie and grandma loves.

Uncle Josh. And more cute pictures with family that  promised not to post. Even though they are really sweet.

Red, white and blue, 4th of July attire.

Ninja turtle balloons for Hudson's party. Walmart doesn't carry crepe paper, so the felt was weighing their poor heads down.

The rest are cell phone pictures from the trip!

Emma's first flight. First time with 6 of us!

Los Potrillos and singing to Hudson.

He is hiding from the attention and the giant sombrero.

See, she only slept in our bed.  And is kind of a bed hog.

4th of July parade.

She wanted that cotton candy so badly!

Playing with cousins

Excellent food all the time, and Porter chose crackers, cheese and lettuce.

A friendly game of ball.

Emma moving from person to person.

A carnival thing at the country club. Kids loved it!

Fireworks show #3.

Emma? or Albert Einstein?

Hudson's ninja turtle-themed birthday party.

Hudson gets a long really well with his cousins that are older than him.

All the cousins and Raphael (the watermelon).

Emma and Henry. Friends.

Emma and Grandpa

He caught a firefly!

Megan and Emma

Goodbyes.

We spent a lot of time right here.

Airplane home, Emma got her own seat! YAY!

And Travis took the boys to get the car and I was left with Emma to collect and transport all of our luggage. It was tricky and HOT outside!

It sure was fun having you here. And getting together with Aaron and Josh and their families. I did feel sorry for Emma because she just didn't like sleeping here. We miss you.
