Hudson's Blessing

Dear Grandpa Garrett,
I miss you.  My daddy blessed me today and my mommy said that you couldn't make it.  So I asked her to take a picture of me in my outfit that I make look really cool.

I sure hope I get to see you and Grandma Garrett soon.  Oh and Happy Birthday tomorrow!!

Love,
Hudson

**Hudson's blessing was today.  It was our last day in the Eastridge Ward, so we did it a week early.  Travis gave a wonderful blessing and I was even able to hear it because Carson and Porter were both quiet!  The people that participated were Travis, Grandpa Grover, Uncle Ethan, Uncle Troy, Uncle Brian and Bishop Richardson.  The people that came were our family (Travis, Emily, Carson, Porter, Hudson), Grandma and Grandpa Grover, Uncle Troy, Uncle Ethan and Aunt Lisa and Allyson, Jackson and Julianne, Uncle Brian and Aunt Trisha, Logan, Jaxon, and Sadie.

Porter's Baby Blessing

Today was Porter's Blessing Day. We were so happy to have some of our family here with us for this special day. With priesthood authority, Travis blessed Porter and gave him a name, Porter Travis Grover (wow, that sentence is confusing with those names). The men that stood in the circle with Travis were Grandpas Garrett and Grover, Uncles Ethan and Brian, and the members of the bishopric--Bishop Richardson, Brother Turley and Brother Wilcock. Porter got to wear a very cute outfit that I had bought for Carson's baby blessing, but we ended up blessing Carson when he was 3 months old and too big for it. And Travis thinks it is too girly, but I snuck it on Porter this morning anyway. It was a wonderful blessing and I am so thankful to have a husband who is a worthy Priesthood holder who can bless our babies and our family.

After church we had a lunch get together at my brother, Ethan's house. We ate yummy food and just hung out for a little while. The family members that could make it today were Travis, Me, Carson, Porter, Grandma and Grandpa Garrett, Grandma and Grandpa Grover, Trina, Ethan, Lisa, Allyson, Jackson, Julianne, Trisha, Brian, Logan and Jaxon.

What's goin' on

Last weekend my parents came into town for Carson's blessing at church. It was so fun and nice to have them here, but the weekend was just too short. I am sure they didn't think so since they slept on the floor and couch in our little one bedroom apt. 5 people in a 850 sq. ft. apartment, yeah, a little tight! But we miss them now. And the blessing went really well, my parents were there, Travis' parents and his sister Trisha, her husband Brian and son, Logan (he slept the whole time), and his other two sisters, Tracy and Trina! It was so nice to have them all there to be a part of it. We took pictures so we can show them to Carson when he is old enough to have a clue!!
Carson is now 3 months old and we can't even believe it. He loves to smile and talk. You know what i mean by talking, just randomly making noises. When we show him himself in the mirror he just looks confused. He doesn't smile and talk like they say babies will. I think in his mind he is like "uh why are you making me look at myself in the mirror." He loves to sleep, has been sleeping through the night since 8 weeks and takes awesome naps throughout the day. He is becoming more and more aware and is so much fun to take places because he just looks around and observes everything. Pretty much the only time he cries is when he gets tired. He is such a good boy! He has gotten really good at rolling over from his tummy to his back and just today he started rotating his body in circles while on his back. He is just so funny and is learning new things every day... we love it and him so much!!
Travis started back at school a few weeks ago and Carson and I get lonely during the day. Carson sure loves it when Dad gets home and talks to him, he just can't stop smiling and staring at him. He sure loves to have Carson/Daddy time. Travis loves it too, he loves to read Carson books.
