We were worried about having to get rid of his pacifier because he liked it so much. That was a piece of cake. This is my new concern. He is so obsessed with these things. We have tried many different hiding spots. And obviously, if I wanted them to be put away forever I would put them somewhere like in a bin that he couldn't get to. But it is kind of cute, and I like how he likes to wear them. And I do think they are cute, so I want him to have them... sometimes. But he always wants his boots and then he won't take them off and stands by the door to go outside, all day long. He will also go stand by wherever he thinks they are (in the linen closet or on top of the dryer) and say "bsss." Yesterday he put his head on the floor and was looking underneath the door to the linen closet (which has a lock) saying "bsss." That is how he says boots. Porter lays on the floor a lot and Carson doesn't understand personal space. I don't want him stepping on him with those things on, especially. Yesterday afternoon, Travis was going to take him outside and he told him nicely that if he wanted to go with him, then no boots. And it was the meltdown of all meltdowns, but in a totally hurt feelings kind of way. He just started frowning and it kept getting bigger and bigger and then he just started bawling. It was the funniest, saddest thing. I am positive that he would love to sleep in them, if we would let him.
