Tonight Travis and I, as ward missionaries, got the opportunity to go see Elder L. Tom Perry speak. It was at the ASU Institute building so it was packed but it was intimate. The program was about every member of the church being better missionaries. And he did a really good job of motivating and encouraging us to share The Gospel with anyone and everyone and finding people who we are friends with or who are our neighbors or anyone else that we can invite to talk to the missionaries. He said a lot of great things and was pretty funny and laid back too. Then after the meeting was over we got to shake his hand and talk to him. Travis and I were so giddy about it. I have never had that opportunity before and it was pretty stinking cool to talk face to face and shake the hand of one of the 12 apostles of the Lord. Oh and he commented on my giraffe purse, which Travis told me not to take! HA! It was a wonderful experience and also a great way to spend time just Travis and I. Thanks Trisha, for babysitting!
