Nursery

These are pictures from church today. It was like his first day of school only without the backpack. And I am sure I will cry way harder when he first goes to school... I don't even want to think about that right now.
It was Travis' idea to put him in front of these yellow flowers, he thought it would be so cool looking. How cute!

Today was Carson's first day going to Nursery at church. I was sad that he is old enough for it, but happy to not follow him around the church halls during all of church. We pretty much shoved him in and took off. We were sitting quietly in sunday school, feeding Porter and about 5 minutes passed before the door opened. Carson was crying very hard and had bright red cheeks and lots of tears. So I went in there with him for the rest of the time. He didn't want me to put him down at first. Then I had him sit in a little chair and they passed out snacks. This nursery rules. They passed out goldfish, graham crackers, oreos, fruit snacks and little cups of water (which Carson dumped out about 5 times). Then he was happy. And he started doing the things the other kids were doing. After that he didn't feel like participating and found the cupboard doors. He opened and closed those for a while and then wanted to leave. But we made it through the whole time. When church was over and we walked out into the hall, he was so happy. And took off running and prancing around the halls until we went home! I don't know how to explain his prancing. I just need a video of it. When he gets really excited he kind of hops, but only with his feet and arms. He kind of looks like a cartoon trying to run but not going anywhere. I was thinking last night how crazy it is that Porter and Carson will be in the Nursery together for a few months. So maybe Porter will love it and be happy to be in there with his big brother. I am glad that isn't anytime soon. They are just growing up too fast!
