I have been taking on online class here this week. Thanks to my friend, Brittney for telling me about it. I think it lasts one more week. These are some of the things that I have learned. Honestly, I knew how to do a lot of this stuff already (and I still am not very good, by any means) but she makes it so easy to understand and follow the steps. These all only took a couple of minutes.

This one is supposed to look like it got taken with one of the old school cameras, like those box ones. We had one of those sitting on our mantle when we were growing up... I wonder if it is still there?? In this picture I just experimented with different textures.

Here we learned how to use brushes in Photoshop. (Photo by Crystal Lilly)

Here we learned how to make a vintage looking photo using adjustment layers and blending modes. I think this one of Porter worked perfectly because of his "vintage looking" golf hat. Note: Anything before 1980 is "vintage" for me.

In this one we learned how to use textures. I love this picture either way.

This one we learned how to use clipping masks. I made the second picture too light and when I saved it for the web it made Carson's face look weird and blotchy. I still like it better than the yellowy one.

I am having a fun time taking this class but because of it I have been staying up pretty late the last couple of nights. Oh well, I am excited to keep learning more!
