Water Fun

Yesterday, Travis and I decided that we all needed to get out. So we took Carson and Porter to the pool. It was actually cloudy and windy all day, what??

The water was pretty cold, so Porter sat on my lap while I dangled my feet in the pool. Carson did not want to go home. We stayed for a couple of hours and he got so mad when we tried to change his clothes.


He was practically purple, but was having so much fun! We all had a really good time but are excited to go back after Carson has swim lessons (which don't start until the 22nd). With one adult to one kid, I couldn't get very many pictures of Carson in the water and I could get any of Porter in the water.




Porter fell asleep and hung out in his stroller for most of the time.

Catching Up

These are pictures from the 4th of July! We just went to my brother, Ethan's, house and hung out. We ate yummy barbecue sandwiches and went swimming. Carson likes to lounge in the pool. Travis' hands are underneath, we don't just let him float around in the pool by himself. Ok Travis probably would... I don't let him! He loves to cross his legs. He does that in everything that we put him in.
Here he is with his legs crossed again. We just got Carson a new "big boy" car seat on Saturday. He is getting too big for me to carry the infant carrier around (especially in this heat) and I had to get it before my Babies R' Us coupons expired (I saved $40 just with coupons!!). Seriously, for people having babies or buying any baby stuff. Babies R' Us rules, they coupon stack. That is how we purchased all of Carson's big items (crib, mattress, swing, car seat, stroller, high chair and now second car seat). Anyway, I put him in this earlier because he was getting tired and kept falling over and hitting his head and then crying. So I buckled him in and turned on his favorite Baby Einstein video and he didn't make a peep!
Carson finally graduated from his knees to his feet. He started pulling himself up completely last Tuesday and now that is all he does. He has already started chewing on his crib since he can reach it now... great! And of course, the blinds are still one of his favorites!

Pool Fun

Carson and I went to the pool today for a little bit, just to get out of the apartment. We had a fun time, he floated around in his little raft (with me holding on of course) and we cooled down. It was a good time! He likes to kick in the water so he had fun doing that. He couldn't take his eyes off of the waterfall, though. So we kept having to go over there so he could see it up close. I didn't get pictures in the water because it was just the two of us. But I got some afterwards. He was excited to go swimming and we will probably go back tonight when Dad gets home!
