feeling crafty

I have been feeling like sewing lately. I don't know why, but probably because I see so many cute fabrics that I just want to make things with them. I just made Carson and Porter some matching ties. I am very proud of these. I made the pattern and just made Porter's a little bit shorter. They have adjustable necks, which I probably won't really use because once the neck changes I am sure the tie will be too short. Porter's neck part was way bigger than Carson's (since he doesn't really have a neck yet) and that cracks me up.

Travis had just come home from work, so I made him go outside with me to get some pictures. Porter hates grass... see face above.

I also made Carson a belt just with some ribbon. I have made these before for myself (with my mom who did most of it). I know they are easy, you just sew the loopy things on. And I saw the idea again on Make It and Love It (one of my favorite blogs!). I was proud of my work here mostly because I actually sewed pretty straight. YES! Travis asked why I made Carson a rainbow belt. It is easy to find girly ribbon... not so easy to find boy colors. This was the best I could do without it being a solid color. Orange, brown and blue are not rainbow!
