**Finishing the 800m at Sectionals**Congratulations to my nephew, Taylor. Last week, he participated in the 7th grade Illinois State Track Meet. He qualified to compete in 3 seperate events, anchor of the 4x100 relay, the 800m and the 1600m.
On Friday, he ran the 1600m and placed 5th! He tied his best time of 5 minutes 3 seconds and was only 4 seconds short of the school record. Then on Saturday he ran the 800m in 2 minutes 13 seconds and placed 5th again! Only this time he beat the school record by 3 seconds which means his name goes up on a board in the Charleston Middle School Gym for everyone to see until someone beats his record (hopefully it doesn't happen). He was undefeated the entire season in the 1600m and the 800m which he picked up in the middle of the season.
Way to go Taylor, we are so proud of you!
**Unfortunately, we didn't get to see him run in any of his track meets. But we got these pictures from my parents.**

Dominic got to play soccer at Morton Park the other day with Taylor & Wyatt, and Reese & Luke Bell. I think they were pretty impressed w/ his skills. They are such nice boys. Good Job Taylor!
It was so much fun to watch Taylor run all season long and at the state meet (even though it was hot, humid and very crowded). It was fun to watch you in track and other sports Emily. What great memories of our children and grandchildren in their activities.
Wow! Taylor is sure growing up. I hardly recognized him. It's been way too long since we last saw them. Great post; thanks for sharing the photos.
