Happy Birthday to... ME!

On December 28th, I turned 28. And this is the only picture I have. We (I) made this cake two days later so Carson could sing Happy Birthday. I didn't have 28 candles so I put them in the shape of an "E."


**I don't know how old I was here, but I remember making my own cake this year too. Or maybe I just decorated it?? My sister helped me and we thought it was so pretty. It was actually hideous to look at, but still tasted pretty good. Chocolate cake, white (pink) frosting and orange sherbet... man, I was weird! It didn't matter because I didn't eat them together. I can't have the dry touch the wet. So they were always in seperate bowls.

My birthday was a good day, we didn't do anything too exciting but I got a lot of free stuff throughout the week and then that night my sister-in-law, Lisa, babysat for us. We went to Oregano's, duh, and enjoyed every second of it. I don't have any pictures of us because Travis made me leave my camera in the car. How mean, I know! During the day I went out with my other sister-in-law, Trisha and we split all of the free stuff that I got. And Travis' mom, brother and sister all helped babysit our kids while we did it!

I got a lot of free things and wasn't even able to use all of them. Most things I had to sign up for through email and some things you just show up and show your ID. Here is what I did end up using (In case anyone has a birthday coming up):

Danny's Carwash -- Free $11 Carwash, inside and out (ID on bday) -- this was the first time our car had been washed on the outside since before Carson was born!
Schlotzky's Deli -- Free Sandwich(email)
Sephora -- Free 3-pack of shiny lipglosses (email)
Krispy Kreme -- Free dozen glazed donuts (ID on bday)
Cold Stone Creamery -- Free Like IT with one mix-in (email)
Sonic -- Free Medium Drink -- I will take that any day(email)
Oregano's -- Free Pazookie (email)

There were many more that I just couldn't use. It was nice but exhausting trying to use everything in time. One that I really wanted to try but didn't get the chance to was Benihana's. They give you $30 off of your meal!

I can't wait until the next birthday in our family. I am counting down until Porter turns 1!
