Travis' sister just found out she is having a baby girl this summer! To say she is excited is a HUGE understatement... but we won't get into that. I babysat her kids while she went to the ultrasound this morning and (since I knew it was a girl) I made these booties to give to her when she told me they found out it was a girl. **Sidenote: If you find out you are having a girl anytime soon, this is what you will be receiving from me. I love making these things, they are so little and cute!
And I just thought I would put a picture of my couch pillows. We got this couch for free and it is nice and comfy. The backs of the big pillows have a funky design that I am not too fond of and the throw pillows had the same one. So I made some pillow slip covers to add a little color. Travis thinks they look like I puked on a pillow. I knew he would hate them.

And another little craft...
For Christmas, my siblings and I (and our families) got our parents a framed picture of the Salt Lake City Temple, where they got married. It was vintage looking with an old-looking font that had their names and the date. I decided I wanted the same kind of thing to put up in our living room.
Here is an example from Deseret Book of the Bountiful Temple.

It is a different size but this one is $219.98! Holy Cow!!

Making a distressed/vintage feel - FREE, photoshop
Printing a 16 x 20 - $5.99 at Costco
Framing - $14.68 16 x 20 frame at Michael's (%55 off)
Total = $20.67 plus a sense of accomplishment

And here it is framed and displayed in our home.

I would like it to be a little bit lighter and with a different font... but it works. I love looking at it.
