I have to sit and actually count out the months for Carson. Once you get passed 18 months I feel like it is hard to keep track by months. Carson is right in between 2 1/2 and 3. He is growing up so fast. I guess I could say getting big so fast too. I think he is the size of most of the 4 year olds that we know.
Carson is a very busy little boy. I can definitely say that his 4 to 5 hour nap each day keeps me sane. I love him so much. He is so smart and cute. He surprises us all the time with some of the things he says and does. Today he sang his ABC's. We had no clue that he knew that. He sang the whole thing and then at the end he said "now I know my ABCDEFG..." and continued on through the rest of the alphabet. That went on and on until he said, "ok bye ABC's."
He loves music. It always calms him down and helps him to play nicely. He always asks us to sing songs before bed and then he sings himself to bed. He has a different favorite song every other day. He also always asks us to play music. So we play some sort of children's music. He will sit on the couch and listen forever. He knows the words to so many songs now, I can't even keep track. Sunday night we told him that we were going to go to the temple and walk around. He started singing something that I couldn't understand--it was "I Love to See the Temple". Well, the first line of it at least. He can put that together, but thinks that actual palm trees are the temple??
He really has been learning so many things lately. Through Early Intervention, someone comes to our house once a week to work with him. Just today we were talking about how much he has improved since she started coming (which I think was in March). He talks so much more and answers some questions and today was full of imaginative play. He is probably going to be in preschool this year. I think that will help him socially. He learns so much from other kids and he rarely plays with other kids that are his age--usually only in Nursery at church. And when he comes home from church he is talking about his friends, Rachel and Henry? Yesterday he sang happy birthday to everyone in our family, including Logan and Jaxon (his cousins) and added Henry too. It was cute.
Here are some pictures from this last month.
This is his spot on the couch where he watches tv/listens to music.
He wanted Porter to get in the basket with him like it was a car.
4th of July Fireworks, he got some of those glowing things from the people next to us and loved them. He even took the blue one to bed with him that night!
Loves spending time with Daddy. At the fireworks again.
He took like 2 bites of this snow cone and decided it wasn't for him. The sticker on his cheek is from In N' Out. He didn't even know it was there.
This was the other night after we went to the temple to walk around. Same outfit as the picture above, but almost a month apart. Weird. Oh and he insists on sitting in the high chair for most meals. We have GOT to put that thing away so he won't sit in it anymore. He is almost 3!
After church he always goes by the Bishop's office to get a sucker or two. He came home a couple weeks ago with a big sucker (not a Dum Dum) and sat in that chair and ate it for like an hour.
Carson in the hospital visiting Baby Hudson! I love the way he says that.
He loves his dad and listens to him. I would never be able to walk around with the boys like this. They would be running all over the place, nowhere close to me.
We love you so much, Carson. You crack us up every single day. Thanks for being so awesome!

OMG, Em! He's so big! I just posted about Jackson being 2 1/2! Where does the time go?!? I LOVE the picture of Daddy and the boys holding hands! And, I love that he will sit and listen to music. Jackson won't sit down to do anything!!! I KNOW they would have so much fun playing together...one of these days!!!
Miss you guys!!!
Love all the pics. I noticed that he would sit at his spot on the couch and watch TV and listen to music. I love the pic with the toy basket. Hudson looks drunk again, and I love how Porter is looking at him. I am amazed at how much more Carson speaks and interacts than in March at Rachel's. Maybe it was cuz he was not home and so much was going on.
Crazy how fast they grow... and crazy you have 3 under 33 months! Are you holding up? ahhh! I would be nuts by now! Hudson is so adorable!
I'm glad you got those muslin blankets...Dayton is 18 months and still loves to cuddle up with them.. they are the best!
So.. I know I say this everytime.. but I LOVE your pictures! I took the kids today to get a few at Target and they don't even compare. I need to get some family ones sometime in the fall if you are up for it. I'll pay you.. People would be willing to pay big bucks for your awesome pics!
Anyways... hope you guys are doing good.. we miss the ward and seeing you guys.
Emily your family is so cute, I can't believe you already have 3 boys. Seems like you just barely got married. Isn't it funny how fast time flies by, especially when you have a new baby. Congratulations on the new baby- Hudson is so cute. So are all of your boys.
