Hudson -- 4 months

Hudson is 4 months old!  And I am posting lots of pictures.
Saturday night (the day he turned 4 months) he started rolling all over the place.  See video below.  Everytime we put him down he would immediately start rolling.  Now, only 3 days later, he has forgotten how to get off of his stomach.
Last week, I thought Hudson turned 4 months on the 3rd.  So I printed the paper took some pictures got ready to blog and then remembered that Porter's birthday is the 3rd, Hudson's is the 6th.  Geesh!  So I got a 4 month picture on the 3rd and the 8th.

Hudson had this skeleton outfit from Porter last year.  It was a little big, but not too bad.  So I had him wear it pretty much every day for the 2 weeks leading up to Halloween.  So we could really get good use out of it.  The first 3 times he wore it, he had major blowouts and it went straight into the washer.  I was starting to think he didn't like wearing it.

Hudson is still such a happy little boy.  He is really starting to watch us and follow us around the room (with his eyes).  He loves it when the boys come up close to him and loves the hugs and kisses that they both give him all the time.

He has slept through the night completely a couple of times.  He still usually wakes up once in the middle of the night and the time is pretty random-sometimes 2am, other times 6.  His bedtime is different all the time too.  But for the most part, he eats, gets a bath and goes to bed about 8.  He wakes up that one time and then sleeps until about 9--if he doesn't get woken up by his dad who always wants to play before he leaves for work.  He has also started to talk a lot in his bed.  It is so cute.  He was doing it in the middle of the night.  Last week we moved his crib into Porter's room.  I was pretty sad.  But we put the pack n' play up in our room so he is still in there sometimes.

Hudson loves his pacifier, his hands, bath time, playing in the exersaucer, nursing, sleeping, talking, and attention.  He now loves to roll around and loves tummy time.  He likes to hear us read books and sing songs, it calms him down so much.

Travis gave Hudson his first haircut.  I was extremely sad/mad about it.  I wasn't home and Travis did it on his own.  I don't think any 3 month old needs a haircut.  I don't care if they have a mullet.  Hudson was obviously not very happy about it either.  This is the picture from afterwards.  That just breaks my heart!

Aunt Lisa is holding Hudson at Carson's birthday party.  They had plenty of time to bond the night before because Lisa babysat for us, and Hudson didn't want to go to bed.  But then at the party she held him and he fell asleep in her arms within a couple of minutes.

Hudson and Daddy after church on Sunday.  I bought this little vest for Carson when he was 2 or 3 months old.  Hudson wore it to church since it finally dropped below 100 degrees!  Church is always freezing anyway.   So cute!

Hudson went to the doctor yesterday.  He is healthy and growing.  He weighed 14 lbs 9 oz and was 25 1/2 inches long.  He got some shots and the liquid stuff and seems to be doing fine.  He cried immediately and got over it just as quickly.  The doctor said to start him on rice cereal for the iron, since he is only breastfed.  So last night was his first meal of rice cereal mixed with water.

First, he's excited to be sitting in Carson's chair.

Then he wasn't so happy.

Over it.  And happy again.  I think he liked the rubber spoon more than the food.

Hudson is so much fun and such a sweet little baby.  I love him and I love spending time with him.  I am enjoying his "babyness".  I don't want him to grow up too fast.  I need to enjoy every second and every milestone.  These boys probably won't even care when they are older, but I love writing about them.  I love to look at the thousands of pictures that we have of them and compare the ages and the looks, to see which one looks like which.

Hudson, you make us so happy.  Your brothers love to say hi to you and give you hugs and kisses.  Carson loves to tell you "aww, Hudson, it will be ok" if you are crying.  You are our little baby and you teach us lessons every single day.  I love, love, love your full body smiles and talking to you and spending time together when we go out by ourselves!
Thanks for being such a happy and easy baby! I love you, we all love you.

Love,
Mommy

Such cute photos, Em. And we love the video. You weren't kidding when you said he talks. It is SO cute. And he's lucky to have you all as a family, too.
