Preschool and Stuff

Carson's first day of preschool was August 9th.  School started on the 8th but he only goes 3 days a week.  He is in the same classroom for the 3rd year, but this time he moved to the afternoon.  He loves everything about getting on the bus, the kids in his class, circle time and his teachers: Ms Jan, Ms Deb, and Ms Carol.  He also has a speech therapist that comes into the classroom, Ms Nicole.  So far this year he has been talking a lot about his friend Brandon.  I don't know Brandon's parents so we haven't set up any playdates.  But he has dreams of playing at his house.

Two pictures with the wrong date on the sign.

I love his litte silhouette in this picture, on the bus.

Getting home from the first day, tired.  Afternoons are a big difference so far, and the bus trip is longer so he gets home close to 4.  I don't know what we will do in the winter when he goes to bed at 6.  I had to take more pictures with the right date on the sign.

Carson is also starting another preschool next week.  He will have that the other 2 days of the week.  So he will be in preschool M-F, 2 days in the morning and 3 days in the afternoon.  He also started Let's Play Music with Ms Nikki and is loving every second of it.  He even likes doing the homework.

Porter started playschool with 4 other little friends from the ward, who also live in our neighborhood.  Each Mommy takes a turn each week and we rotate, so you have the kids every 5th week.  Today was his 3rd time and he came home with a cool monster hat that he loves because it's orange... and a monster.

This last picture was only 2 seconds after the last one, but he was done taking pictures and too tired to really show his muscles.  Life. Is. Hard.  He has been having fun doing this and he loves wearing a backpack.  He feels so special. BUT he is anticipating the day that he gets to ride the bus like Carson.  And Hudson woke up this morning and said, "Mom, do I have school today?"  Apparently the other 2 have too many things going on and Hudson is feeling a little left out!

Porter and Hudson are both in Sound Beginnings which is a precursor to Let's Play Music that Porter did last year.  It is busy around here, but in a good way.  And we still have plenty of time for playdates, going out to lunch (McDonald's playland is cooler than the park) and naps!

You do need to blog more often so that you have a record of all these happenings. Porter looks so cute in his "orange monster hat". Love him!
