At the end of January, Travis and I went snowboarding one day. Thanks to wonderful helping family and neighbors we were able to take a day trip to Flagstaff, just us. I wasn't looking forward to it, really. But it turned out to be a lot of fun. My snowboarding skills came right back to me. I think the last time I had been was about 10 years ago. I only fell a couple of times and no real wipe-outs. That is a real improvement from the time I tried skiing. Travis did awesome and we both had fun!
As we were creeping up north the temperature just kept dropping. It was a very cold day.
Blurry cell phone picture. It was a beautiful, clear day with lots of fresh snow. Well, it started out that way, but it was so windy at the top of the mountain, it got really dark by the afternoon.
I meant to get a picture of Travis coming down the mountain, but it was hard to find him. He looks so little. He is right in the middle.
Sweet moves!
I have never been a fan of snow. But when you drive 2.5 hours and have a ton, then drive 2.5 hours back and it is 70 degrees I am fine with it!
At the end of the day, before getting in the car. I had like 15 layers on. Including 2 hats. My sunglasses broke the second we got there. So I had to by the goggles Travis has on for a ridiculous price. That was the most expensive part of our trip.
