Imagination

I love my boys' imaginations.  They really surprise me with the things that they come up with to entertain  themselves.  Before summer ended Carson asked me if he could have a tv in his room.  My answer, "yeah right."  He said, "No, we just want to make some tv's."  Usually that means boxes, paper, tape glue, paint, and any sort of craft supply out and used up.  But then they showed me what they meant.

This one is Carson's tv in his room, it even has the cords, obviously it won't do without electrical work.  He also told me what each show was.  Brave was the third box on the top row (with the crazy hair) and Wreck It Ralph was right below that.

Hudson's tv is on his wall, he put "his kids" tucked in bed to watch it.

They even got a remote.  What a sweet kid, they wouldn't want to have to get up to change the channel.

Porter's kids were laying in bed watching tv too.

Their remote looks very user friendly.

They did all of this on their own, with Carson leading the pack.  I love these things that they are always coming up with.  Yeah it was a lot of tape on the walls, but I can live with that.  This is the kind of stuff they did all summer when I was laying in bed sick.  Hardly any fighting, mostly projects of some kind.

Yesterday after church they wanted to brush my hair, that turned into a full washing and haircut.  All pretend of course.  But they made all of the barber tools out of trio blocks and just made the noises that the tools make.  My favorite was Porter turning on the hair dryer... "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrdryer."  I wish I had pictures, all 3 of them were brushing my hair as I sat on the couch.  What more could you want on a sleepy Sunday afternoon?

I love the TVs. Rachel used to mess with Dad's hair on Sunday afternoons and put barrettes in it. One time she even curled it with a really thin curling iron. So funny!

I love the hair story. I love it when Spencer plays with my hair once in a while.
