Porter turns 5!

This is Porter when he turned 4!

And now this year, when he turned 5.  He is a lot taller and has smaller cheeks. 

He got to pick out a bear at school from Mrs. McClure and of course he came home with the pink one.

Porter LOVES dinosaurs and anything having to do with them.  He loves to act like a T-Rex and Velociraptor. 

For Porter's birthday he got to go get Frozen Yogurt one night, just him and Mom.  We also had a Mommy/Porter(Emma) date to Grimaldi's for lunch one day. Then on his birthday he woke up to dinosaur  balloons and presents.  He came into our room very early in the morning, and quietly whispered "Mommy? It's my birthday!"  It was adorable, he was so excited. I made him cupcakes to take to his preschool class. Orange is old news, they should have been blue to go with his new favorite color.  The inside was rainbow. 

He requested a blue 5 shirt.  Now all 3 boys have the same shirt with a red number on it.  

After school, I took a bunch of pictures of Porter and his birthday crown that he got.  He also picked some friends to deliver birthday invitations.  He did it all on his own, I stayed in the car.  It was entertaining. 

We had a birthday party at the park (it was actually our ward's playgroup that is every Tuesday).  He wanted a party and that was the most energy I could get.  So I just took a pinata and cupcakes and popsicles to the park.

5 is so big! I can't believe he is so old already!

These are of Porter opening his presents in the morning on his birthday.  He got some pretty cool stuff and was so happy!

Porter is a sweet 5 year old.  He loves to be helpful if he is listening.  Sometimes he is in his own little world. And sometimes he is too hyper to pay attention and listen (church). But he loves his brothers and sister and us.  He tells us all frequently.  He always tells Emma, "I have a secret for you Emma." Then goes and whispers "I love you" in her ear.  He also shows the sign for it all the time.  

Porter has a lot of questions.  Alot of these questions have to do with dinosaurs and Heavenly Father.  He wants to be Batman when he grows up because "because I like him."  He has never watched any sort of Batman show or movie, but learned about him when he came to visit his preschool class. 

Porters favorite foods are pizza, dinosaur nuggets, string cheese, carrots, chips, strawberries and milk. Porter's favorite color is now blue after being orange for 2 years.  

Porter loves to go to the park, go to the beach, play with friends, read books, build with trio blocks and trains, and sings while doing all of this.  He even sings while on the toilet.  He makes up his own songs all the time.  It is pretty funny.  

Porter is a cute, active, sweet, nevery shy 5 year old boy.  We love him and the special spirit that he brings to our family.  He is different than the rest of us in so many ways.  It is so nice to have him in our family, to keep things interesting!
